Jamie Foxx Wears Trayvon Martin T-Shirt During 2013 BET Awards

During Sunday eveningโ€™s BET Awards, actor and musician Jamie Foxx continued his streak of outward support for Trayvon Martin, donning a t-shirt with the late teenagerโ€™s face presumably advocating for the conviction of accused murderer George Zimmerman.

Foxxโ€™s tee shirt first made a splash during the pre-show red carpet interviews, but it took center stage when the actor accepted the Best Actor award for his performance in 2012โ€ฒs smash hit Django Unchained. Despite the clear statement via his outfit, Foxx did not specifically address Martinโ€™s death while accepting his award.

Zimmerman is currently on trial for the 2012 second-degree murder of Martin. Before and during the trial, Foxx has remained an outspoken advocate for โ€œjusticeโ€ for Martin, sporting shirts with the teenagerโ€™s face to multiple awards ceremonies.
