President Obama Comments on the Trayvon Martin Case for the first time.
In a news conference today to announce the new head of the World Bank Korean-born academic Jim Yong Kim, President Obama was asked about the Trayvon Martin Case.
The President Commented:
“I think every parent in America should be able to understand why it is absolutely imperative that we investigate every aspect of this and that everybody pulls together, federal state and local, to figure out exactly how this tragedy happened.”
Obama said Trayvon Martin’s death particularly resonated with him as an African-American parent.
“If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon,” Obama said in brief remarks outside the White House.
Because of the DOJ Case the President obviously can’t comment on any case specifics, but he said it’s imperative that we investigate every aspect of this case.
The President of the United States is Trayvon Martin.
