Don Grady, A Big Brother In ‘My Three Sons,’ Dies

Former teen idol Don Grady, who played Robbie Douglas on β€œMy Three Sons,” died Wednesday at 68 after suffering from cancer. Barry Livingston, who played Grady’s younger brother on the classic ’60s show, confirmed the death to the Associated Press.

β€œIt’s the oldest clichΓ© in the world when TV brothers start referring to each other like biological brothers, but he was the oldest, and somebody I looked up to and learned from a great deal about life,” Livingston says.

The actor was most well-known for his role as Robbie Douglas in β€œMy Three Sons” and was one of the original Mouseketeers on β€œThe Mickey Mouse Club.” He joined the show when he was only 13 years old.

Grady landed his role on β€œMy Three Sons” in 1960 and pursued a career in music when the show ended in 1972.
