Donald Trump Trashes ‘Tacky,’ ‘Boring’ Oscars, Blasts ‘Racist’ Django Unchained
During his weekly call to Fox & Friends, Donald Trump responded to last night’s Oscars. Generally speaking, Trump was less than pleased. From taking issue with movies and actors, to the “boring” event overall, he had criticism to offer for all.
Trump said he was “not impressed” by the “very average” event. The whole thing was “okay at best,” he asserted, taking issue with some movies. Specifically, he cited Django Unchained, “which was probably one of the most racist movies I’ve ever seen.”
“I thought the set was terrible,” he continued. “I mean, talk about the word tacky.”
Later, Trump took up his criticism with Daniel Day-Lewis, who won “best actor” for Lincoln. “First of all, he’s not from this country,” he remarked. “He had an accent that I could detect…I don’t think Lincoln had an English accent, to the best of my knowledge.”
And moreover, “I just don’t think that Lincoln behaved like that.”
