3D Gun Blueprints Downloaded 100,000 Times Before U.S. State Department Orders Removal From Web

The blueprints for a plastic gun made with a 3D printer have been removed from a Texas-based defence website at the request of the U.S. State Department, but not before they were downloaded at least 100,000 times.

Defense Distributed, a non-profit organization that aims to defend the rights of citizens across the world to have access to arms, posted a note on Twitter confirming their project had “gone dark.” (YouTube/Defense Distributed)
