The California attorney general’s office has charged former San Diego Mayor Bob Filner with one felony count of false imprisonment as well as two misdemeanor counts of battery.
The victims were identified as Jane Does 1, 2, and 3, according to the state Attorney General’s Office. A grand jury had been hearing evidence against Filner, according to published reports.
Filner, 70, is charged with one felony count of false imprisonment by violence, fraud, menace and deceit, as well as, two misdemeanor counts of battery.
Earlier this year, Filner resigned from office amid a sexual harassment scandal.
