Red Sox take Game 5, lead Series 3-2

The Boston Red Sox are now just one game away from winning the 2013 World Series after beating the St. Louis Cardinals 3-1 in Game 5 on Monday night.

Jon Lester helped lead the Red Sox to victory, pitching into the eighth inning and only giving up four hits. On offense, the Red Soxโ€™s David Ortiz tied the record for nine consecutive times on base that was set by Billy Hatcher in 1990.

Boston will host Game 6 on Wednesday night at Fenway Park.
