The health of the oceans is declining faster than previously thought, a report from the International Program on the State of the Ocean (IPSO) warns.
According to the report, the oceans are facing a multitude of threats, including overfishing and pollution.
The current conditions threaten a mass extinction event similar to those that have afflicted the oceans in the past, the report says.
