Controversial former NBA star Dennis Rodman held tryouts on Friday in North Korea for a team that will face NBA veterans in an exhibition game to be held in honor of North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un’s birthday next month.
Rodman says he is having trouble convincing some of the NBA players that it is safe to come to North Korea.
“You know, they’re still afraid to come here, but I’m just telling them, you know, don’t be afraid man, it’s all love, it’s all love here,” Rodman said after the tryouts at the Pyongyang Indoor Gymnasium.
