Actor Ryan O’Neal is the owner of an Andy Warhol portrait of Farrah Fawcett, a jury determined on Thursday.
The ownership of the painting was under dispute in a three-week trial after the University of Texas, Fawcett’s alma mater, sued O’Neal. The “Charlie’s Angels” star left her artwork to the university when she died in 2009 but left nothing to her partner.
O’Neal testified that the painting was a gift from Warhol for arranging the artist’s portrait session and that Fawcett had acknowledged his ownership before her death.
