For those who can bear to listen. The town of Newtown, Connecticut, plans to release the 911 calls the day of the Sandy Hook school shooting from nearly one year ago on Wednesday. Connecticut State’s Attorney, Stephen Sedensky, previously applied for hold to conceal the tapes, arguing that the recordings could cause harm to the families affected. Last Tuesday, though, New Britain Superior Court Judge Eliot Prescott denied Sedensky’s motion after listening to the calls. Adam Lanza’s attack left 20 children and six adults dead before taking his own life.
