The U.S. Attorney’s Office and FBI are holding a media briefing in downtown Wichita concerning an arrest in a plot to blow up Mid-Continent Airport.

U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom and Special Agent in Charge Michael Kaste of the FBI office in Kansas City will announce charges against a person who was arrested this morning in a case involving ‘a national security matter.’

Numerous reports indicate that the arrest deals with an alleged plot to blow up Wichita’s Mid-Continent Airport. ABC News says the plot involved a plan to drive an explosive-laden van into the airport.
