WATCH Will Ferrell Anchors Entire Local News Broadcast as Ron Burgundy VIDEO

Will Ferrell and his most famous character, longtime San Diego news anchor Ron Burgundy, are on the road promoting the “highly, highly anticipated” autobiography, Let Me Off at the Top! My Classy Life and Other Musings, and a new film, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. On Saturday night Ferrell stopped by the studio of KXMB, in Bismarck, North Dakota, to guest-anchor a local news broadcast.

Next to regular anchor Amber Schatz, who had trouble keeping a straight face during much the broadcast, Ferrell delivered local stories about foul-mouthed deputies and winter weather—sometimes with a bit of a stumble—and improved banter with the rest of the studio crew.

During a segment on Movember, a fellow studio member asked how long it had taken Ferrell to grow his mustache.

“About twenty minutes,” he replied.

“This was fun,” Ferrell said at the end of the broadcast. “I can’t wait to do it for real.”
