Nevada withdraws legal support for ban on same-sex marriages

The state of Nevada has withdrawn its legal support of the gay marriage ban passed by voters in 2002.

Attorney General Catherine Corte Masto filed a motion Monday to withdraw the stateโ€™s legal arguments in a case pending before a federal court.
Republican Gov. Brian Sandoval says he agrees with the move, saying itโ€™s clear the stateโ€™s arguments are no longer defensible.
