Magnitude 5.1 quake hits Los Angeles area

Authorities reported moderate damage after an earthquake struck the Los Angeles region Friday night.

The magnitude 5.1 quake, which hit near La Habra, Calif., shortly after 9 pm PT, was reportedly felt throughout Los Angeles County. Several smaller aftershocks followed.

Residents near the epicenter reported moderate damage to furniture and power outages, but no structural damage or injuries were immediately reported. According to guests, Disneyland closed some rides as a precaution.
