Rescuers recover 2 more bodies at Washington mudslide, believe they’ve found an additional 8

Authorities recovered two more bodies during Tuesday’s search and rescue operations at the mudslide in Snohomish County, Wash., bringing the official death toll to 16.

Snohomish County Fire Chief Travis Hots said rescuers believe they have located but not recovered another eight bodies which are not yet being included in the official death toll.

Rescue operations will continue around the perimeter of the mudslide overnight and resume to full strength Wednesday.
