Russia Moves Into Ukraine - Obama- US is ‘deeply concerned’

“Several hundred” Russian troops moved into Crimea, Ukraine Friday, according to U.S. defense officials. In a statement prior to the news, President Obama said that “we are now deeply concerned” and urged that Russia not interfere “in matters that must be determined by the Ukrainian people.” Not stopping to take questions from the press, the president commended the Ukrainian government’s restraint and said that he plans to “continue to coordinate closely with European allies and continue to communicate directly with the Russian government.”
