Hummus Recalled for Listeria Risk

Hummus Recalled for Listeria RiskNearly 15,000 pounds of hummus and other dips from Hot Mamaโ€™s Foods that are sold at Trader Joeโ€™s, Giant, and Target were recalled Friday due to worries about listeria contamination. The voluntary recall was triggered by contamination found during a test by the Texas Department of Health. Listeria usually affects young children and the elderly, and symptoms can include fever, muscle ache, headache, stiff neck, and confusion. A full list of the recalled items and their sell-by dates can be found here. The recalled dips are under the Target Archer Farms label at Target, the Giant Eagle label at Giant, and includes Trader Joeโ€™s edamame hummus and five-layered dips.
