The CEO of Cheonghaejin Marine Company, the operator of the ferry that sank last month killing hundreds of people, was arrested Thursday by the government. Among the charges against Kim Han-sik is death by negligence. Meanwhile, the government is set to take away the company’s business licenses on all its routes. The government believes excess cargo played a role in the sinking.
