The all clear has been given and one man is under arrest after he was following the motorcade that had the Obama daughters Sasha and Melia in the car. No further details were made available about the man arrested.
The White House was on lockdown after a car drove into a restricted area on Pennsylvania Avenue.
The Secret Service has cleared Pennsylvania Avenue outside the White House. All the White House press has been moved into the briefing room and told not to move as part of regular security protocol.
