Jeremy Clarkson is among Top Gear staff being probed by the BBC over racist language and other gaffes.
The review of the programme’s culture was ordered by BBC director of television Danny Cohen and follows Clarkson’s final warning for using for racist language.
His co-hosts James May and Richard Hammond and executive producer Andy Wilman were also quizzed.
A TV source said: “After everything that has gone on, Danny wanted to find out if there was a wider cultural problem at Top Gear. Workers were able to take part anonymously and were encouraged to speak honestly and freely.”
It is understood that staff were asked if they thought the programme was racist.
