Jon Stewart tackled U.S. airstrikes in Syria Tuesday night, and couldn’t really escape the conclusion that once again, the dawn of war is upon us. Hooray?
Stewart called this Syrian campaign “the iPhone 6 of wars.” He explained, “It’s expensive, a little bigger, a little more unwieldy than you thought it was gonna be, it’s at least a two-year commitment, kinda feels like you just fucking got the last one!”
But the White House is being very hesitant about calling it war. Correspondent Jessica Williams really, really parsed the language to explain why this isn’t war, and warned of even more dangerous terror threats to the U.S. with rather ridiculous names.
