Ford era ends in Toronto as voters elect John Tory mayor

The Rob Ford era ended Monday night as Toronto voters elected John Tory as the city’s new mayor.

Tory promised “sensible, competent, accountable” leadership after four years of scandal and upheaval under Ford.
