NBA Player Takes Holocaust Selfie

Danny Green of the San Antonio Spurs thought it was a good idea to post a selfie at Berlin’s Holocaust memorial on Wednesday. “You know I had to do it one time lol #Holocaust,” the shooting guard wrote in the tweet. Unsurprisingly, the tweet sparked outrage, and Green apologized before the end of the day. “Yes! Mistakes do happen,” he tweeted, adding “I want to sincerely apologize for the insensitivity of my post!” He also altered his initial post to read “A lot of history here, more than you could imagine… very sad/tragic things happened #holocaust #berlin.” Green was in Berlin for the Spurs to play an exhibition against Alba Berlin, to whom they lost 94-93.
