Ferguson on Edge as Grand Jury Sets to Announce Decision on Officer Darren Wilson. Police say Wilson could return to work immediately if a grand jury does not indict in the shooting death of the unarmed teenager Michael Brown.
A grand jury is considering whether to indict Wilson, 28, in the shooting death of 18 year old Brown, an African American.
Jackson said if the grand jury does not indict Wilson, he would immediately return to active duty. Wilson’s assignment has yet to be determined. Jackson said if the grand jury does return an indictment, Wilson will most likely be fired.
Police prepare for riots following Ferguson Grand Jury decision.
Jackson says he has not had any contact with Wilson, and it is unclear if he would want to return to the police force.
Wilson has been on paid administrative leave since the shooting.
