Ricardo Medina Jr., the actor who played the Red Power Ranger in the last couple of Power Rangers live-action films, was arrested for killing his roommate on January 31.
Medina got into some kind of dispute with his roommate Joshua Sutter over the weekend. As the fight escalated, Medina retreated to his bedroom with his girlfriend.
Sutter reportedly then forced his way into Medina’s bedroom to keep arguing. That’s when this actor, who once starred in a movie called Power Rangers Samurai, grabbed a sword he kept by the door in his bedroom and stabbed Sutter to death.
Medina called 911 and stayed until cops arrived. He’s been charged with murder and is sitting in a Palmdale, California jail after bail was set at $1 million.
