Walter Scott’s brother, the man killed Saturday by a South Carolina police officer, said yesterday that he hopes his brother’s death will serve to prevent other similar incidents. “I hope they use better judgment and have better training,” said Anthony Scott. “Everybody keeps saying that he ran, but after being tasered, I would have probably ran too to get that off me. I would have ran too, but I am sure that he didn’t think that he would have gotten shot.” The 52-year-old added: “We don’t advocate violence, we advocate change.”
