Helen Mirren Wins Best Actress at Tonys [VIDEO]

Helen Mirren won Best Actress for her performance in The Audience at the Tony Awards Sunday night, beating out Geneva Carr for Hand to God, Elisabeth Moss for The Heidi Chronicles, Carey Mulligan for Skylight, and Ruth Wilson for Contellations. Sam Gold took home a Tony for Best Direction for Fun Home while Richard McCabe won Best Featured Actor in a play for The Audience. Alan Cumming and Kristin Chenoweth co-hosted the 69th annual awards at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time won for Best Play while Fun Home won Best Musical.
