NY Escape: Prison Worker Traded Tools for Art [VIDEO]

A second prison worker arrested in relation to the escape of convicted killers Richard Matt and David Sweat gave the men tools and art supplies in exchange for art, police say. Court documents claim Gene Palmer even let the men go behind their cell’s walls to do electrical work—potentially letting them case the very route they later used to escape. He also allegedly gave them flathead screwdrivers and needle-nose pliers four times between November and June. He got paintings from the prisoners in return, and that he burned or buried them after the two men escaped.
