The eurozone’s bailout deal offered to Greece late Tuesday was blasted by The International Monetary Fund (IMF), calling for more debt relief on a scale “well beyond what has been under consideration to date.” The IMF threatened to withdraw support and publicized the advice it gave to eurozone finance ministers over the weekend, which included proposals to write off some of Greece’s debt of more than 300 billion euros. The IMF report suggested Athens write off part of its debt or at least allow Greece to not make payments for 30 years. The report comes as Greece’s Parliament is scheduled to vote on Wednesday whether to accept the creditors’ demands.
