New England Patriot’s Tom Brady: NFL ‘Manufactured’ Scandal [VIDEO]

Tom Brady ripped NFL Roger Goodell for upholding his four-game suspension over “Deflategate” in a Facebook post Wednesday morning. “I did nothing wrong, and no one in the Patriots organization did either,” Brady wrote. Goodell cited evidence that the New England quarterback destroyed his cellphone while upholding the quarterback’s four-grame suspension for his role in the ball-deflation scandal. Brady said he wasn’t hiding anything.

“I replaced my broken Samsung phone with a new iPhone 6 AFTER my attorneys made it clear to the NFL that my actual phone device would not be subjected to investigation under ANY circumstances,” he said, adding that he was not made aware that “failing to subject my cell phone to investigation would result in ANY discipline. … To suggest that I destroyed a phone to avoid giving the NFL information it requested is completely wrong.”

Brady claimed he contacted his carrier to see if they could retrieve text messages so he could give them to the NFL, but he said they were unable to do so.

“There is no ‘smoking gun’ and this controversy is manufactured to distract from the fact they have zero evidence of wrongdoing.”
