Pistorius to Serve Sentence in Mansion [VIDEO]

Oscar Pistorius will be relocated to his uncle’s mansion when he is released from prison this week, after serving just one sixth of his five-year sentence. He will wear an electronic tracker for the remainder of his term served in “custodial supervision” at the compound, which includes an outdoor swimming pool, private gym, and more than a dozen bedrooms. The 29-year-old amputee Olympian was sentenced to five years for shooting his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp to death in 2013. Pisotrius maintained that he thought she was an intruder when he heard sounds in the bathroom, but her family is appealing to have his manslaughter conviction raised to murder. The early release is in line with South African guidelines for offenders deemed “non-dangerous.”
