Several media outlets this morning are reporting shots fired at the Bridgewater Plaza near Smith Mountain Lake in Franklin County. Deputies are searching the area for a gunman, source said.
A video posted on YouTube shows a WDBJ crew doing a live shot when it was apparently disrupted by gunshots. The station confirms a shooting took place during a live shot.
Time stamps on the video indicate it happened the shots were fired at 7:45 a.m.

KILLER CAUGHT ON CAMERA
“We do not know the motive, we do not know who the suspect, who the killer is,” station manager Jeffrey Marks said later on a live broadcast.
The gunman who shot and killed a Virginia TV crew was a man dressed all in black. Cameraman Adam Ward captured the man approaching as he fired at him and reporter Alison Parker. The shooter has not yet been identified.
