Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee announced Monday night he is dropping out of the Republican presidential race after poor results in the Iowa caucuses. He tweeted the announcement and thanked his supporters. In Iowa, Huckabee drew 1.8 percent of the vote, which is slightly more than Rick Santorum’s 1 percent. In 2008, Huckabee won the Iowa caucuses with 34.4 percent of the vote, more than 9 percentage points ahead of his rival, Mitt Romney.
