The Vermont senator racked up three wins against Hillary Clinton in the Democratic presidential primary.
Bernie Sanders has now won in New Hampshire, Vermont, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Colorado, Kansas and Nebraska, after defeating Clinton on Super Saturday. Sanders swept the caucuses in Kansas and Nebraska, while Clinton won Louisiana’s primary.
“The Deep South is a very conservative part of the country,” Bernie said. “Now that we’re heading into a progressive part of the country, we expect to do much better.”
He added: “There is a path to victory.” With Clinton far in front, however, it is a difficult path.
