Milwaukee Gas Station Burned After Police Shooting [VIDEO]

A protest in Milwaukee turned violent on Saturday night over the killing of a man during a traffic stop earlier in the day. Police say the man was armed, and the police officer in question was wearing a body camera. During the protest a gas station as well as other businesses (a bank, beauty supply shop, and auto parts store) were set on fire. Three people were inside the gas station but got out unharmed. A police car also had its windows smashed and another was set on fire. Shots were fired at the protest, but were reportedly aimed into the air. At a news conference in the middle of the night Alderman Khalif Rainey, who represents the neighborhood where the shooting took place, spoke about the protests turning violent declaring, β€œThis entire community has sat back and witnessed how Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has become the worst place to live for African-Americans in the entire country. Now this is a warning cry. Where do we go from here? Where do we go as a community from here?”
