Former Israeli President Shimon Peres Dies [VIDEO]

Shimon Peres, who served as prime minister of Israel twice and as the country’s ninth president, died late Tuesday at the age of 93, two weeks after suffering a stroke. He was on a respirator in the hospital and his condition deteriorated. Peres was one of the architects of the Oslo peace accords that led to him winning the Nobel Peace Prize. He was the last surviving figure associated with Israel’s modern founding and went from being considered deeply divisive to extremely popular later in his political career.
