Nancy O’Dell is expected to host Entertainment Tonight on Monday following the release of a 2005 video in which Donald Trump vulgarly discussed his attempts to sleep with her. It is not clear if O’Dell will address the controversial footage, but she did release a brief statement on the matter Saturday. “Politics aside, I’m saddened that these comments still exist in our society at all. When I heard the comments yesterday, it was disappointing to hear such objectification of women,” she said. Trump can be heard in the video telling Billy Bush, then a host of Access Hollywood, that he’d “moved on” someone named Nancy and attempted to have sex with her. Access Hollywood later identified the woman in that conversation as Nancy O’Dell. Bush has been suspended from Today in the wake of the video’s release, and Trump has faced a major backlash.
