At least 6 people have died after a city school bus crashed into an MTA bus Tuesday morning in Southwest Baltimore, police said.
T.J. Smith, a Baltimore Police spokesman, said the driver of the school bus and five people on the MTA bus were killed.
No students were on the school bus during the crash, he said.
The crash occurred before 7 a.m. in the 3800 block of Frederick Avenue. Smith said the school bus was headed east when it struck a Ford Mustang and a pillar on the side of the road before entering oncoming traffic and ripped through the driver’s side of the MTA bus.
