Ivanka Trump Joined Call With Argentine President

Ivanka Trump Joined Call With Argentine PresidentIvanka Trump sat in on a recent phone conversation between President-elect Donald Trump and Argentine President Mauricio Macri. In an interview published Monday with the Japanese-based Asashi Shimbun, Macri described a phone call he made to Trump right after the election results were announced. “We promised to establish the best bilateral relations ever,” he said. “In the call, I also talked with his daughter. I have known her since her infant days.” Macri, who has known Trump since the 1980s, did not elaborate on why Ivanka was a part of the phone call or what she discussed with him. But the news comes as concerns mount over Trump’s ability to separate his business work from his role as president. Just last week, Ivanka was spotted sitting in on a meeting between her father and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Although Trump has promised to surrender control of his business to his children, his children are also part of his transition team. Ivanka also stirred controversy last week after using a 60 Minutes interview to sell bracelets from her jewelry line, further blurring the lines between the Trump family’s business empire and Donald’s role as president-elect.
