The suspect in the shooting death of former NFL player Joe McKnight has been arrested and charged with manslaughter. Ronald Gasser allegedly killed 28-year-old McKnight in Terrytown, Louisiana, last week during a road-rage incident, firing three shots from the inside of his vehicle. McKnight was reportedly unarmed. According to Jefferson Parish booking documents, Gasser, 54, was arrested Monday, and officials said they will hold a Tuesday press conference to discuss his charges. According to the sheriff’s office, Gasser has admitted to shooting McKnight. Officials had taken Gasser into custody after the shooting, but released him without charges.
