Twitter was excluded from President-elect Donald Trump’s Wednesday meeting with tech executives as retribution for refusing to allow an emoji version of the hashtag #CrookedHillary during the campaign, Politico reported based on a source close to the situation. While Apple, Amazon, Facebook, and Tesla were all represented at the pre-presidential meet-up, Twitter—considered Trump’s main source of press engagement—was noticeably absent. Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey reportedly intervened to stop the Trump team from deploying their planned anti-Clinton emoji (which depicted small bags of money being stolen), angering the campaign.
The "president elect" banned Twitter from a meeting because they didn't give him crooked Hillary emoji. RIP, America https://t.co/UB3cDwBhc6
