ISIS Claims Deadly Istanbul Nightclub Attack [VIDEO]

ISIS claimed responsibility Monday morning for a deadly New Year’s Eve gun attack on Istanbul’s popular Reina nightclub, seeming to confirm the assessment of Turkish and U.S. intelligence officials. Turkish police have reportedly detained eight people in connection with the attack, although the gunman โ€” who killed 39 people including 25 foreigners โ€” is still on the loose. Turkish security forces reportedly have determined that he is from Central Asia โ€” Uzbekistan or Kyrgyzstan โ€” and possibly from the same ISIS cell that carried out the June attack on Ataturk Airport. The foreigners killed in the shooting or while trying to escape by jumping into the Bosphorus strait included victims from Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Belgium, France, and India.
