At least 18 people have been killed in the last two days in sweeping storms that have hit Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. Tornadoes hit Georgia early Sunday morning, killing at least 15 people and injuring two dozen. Others died in Mississippi from tornadoes. More tornado watches have been issued for Monday in the Southeast in preparation for inclement weather to strike again. “I just spoke with Governor Nathan Deal of Georgia, great state, great people,” President Trump said in a statement. “Florida affected, Alabama affected by the tornadoes, and just expressed our sincere condolences for the lives taken.” He added, “We’ll be helping out the state of Georgia.”
