Comey, Rogers Debunk Trump’s Wiretap Claims

Comey Rogers Debunk Trumps Wiretap ClaimsFBI Director James Comey and National Security Agency Director Adm. Mike Rogers said on Monday that there is no evidence to support President Donald Trump’s allegations that he was wiretapped by former President Barack Obama. “I have no information that supports those tweets, and we have worked carefully inside the FBI,” Comey said, adding that the Department of Justice reached the same conclusion. Comey also confirmed that Obama, nor any president, could unilaterally order a wiretap on an individual or organization. Rogers added that it would be a violation of U.S. law to ask the U.K.’s intelligence agencies to spy on an American—a claim White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer repeated last week.
