President Trump said in a Wednesday interview with The New York Times that he believes former national security adviser Susan Rice committed a crime in allegedly seeking to unmask the identities of Trump associates mentioned in intercepted communications. βI think itβs going to be the biggest story,β the president told the Times, though he declined to provide evidence for his claim, and his additional accusation that other Obama officials were involved. βItβs such an important story for our country and the world. It is one of the big stories of our time.β Asked whether Rice committed a crime, Trump said, βDo I think? Yes, I think.β
Susan Rice didn't ask the FBI for immunity from prosecution. Mike Flynn did. Obama's campaign was not under FBI investigation. Trump's is.
