White House senior adviser Jared Kushner is reportedly under FBI scrutiny as part of the agency’s probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election. According to officials who spoke with NBC News, investigators at the agency believe Kushner “has significant information relevant to their inquiry,” adding “that does not mean they suspect him of a crime or intend to charge him.” The network added that, in contrast to former national security adviser Michael Flynn and ex-campaign chairman Paul Manafort, Kushner is not the subject of an investigation. Last week, The Washington Post reported that a White House official, who was not named in the report, was a “person of interest” in the investigation. Kushner’s lawyer told NBC News that he will provide any information if contacted by investigators.
