Senator John McCain said on Monday that he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin is a better threat to global security than ISIS. McCain said: “I think he is the premier and most important threat.” He continued, explaining that while ISIS “can do terrible things and I worry a lot about what is happening with the Muslim faith …it’s the Russians who tried to destroy the fundamental of democracy and that is to change the outcome of an American election.” McCain, speaking in Australia, also said President Trump makes him “nervous.” The senator said he was concerned about reports that Jared Kushner was allegedly planning a secret communication channel between Trump’s team and Russia. “I don’t like it, I just don’t,” he said.
