Trump Reportedly Considering Rudy Giuliani For Attorney General

Trump Reportedly Considering Rudy Giuliani For Attorney GeneralPresident Donald Trump is considering replacing Attorney General Jeff Sessions with former campaign adviser Rudy Giuliani, according to a new report from Mike Allen at Axios.

The president has publicly voiced his displeasure with Sessions, and Axios described Trump’s “fury” directed at the attorney general after he recused himself from the Russia investigation.

Trump bashed Sessions — who was one of the first Republican lawmakers to back his long-shot bid for the presidency — in an interview with The New York Times last week, and took to Twitter Monday morning to ask why the attorney general was not investigating Hillary Clinton.

Following Trump’s comments, speculation again ignited that Sessions would resign from his post — rumors the attorney general shot down in a press conference.
