Actress Lindsay Lohan came to Harvey Weinstein’s defense Tuesday night as sexual-assault allegations added to several sexual-harassment claims against the Hollywood movie producer. “I feel very bad for Harvey Weinstein right now,” Lohan said in a now-deleted video posted on Instagram. “I don’t think it’s right what’s going on,” she said. “He’s never harmed me or did anything to me–we’ve done several movies together. I think everyone needs to stop–I think it’s wrong. So stand up,” she wrote. The video also featured the word “Harvey” with a halo-crowned emoji underneath it. Lohan apparently deleted her post after several fans expressed outrage at her comments, but she has yet to issue a statement clarifying her remarks. Her message followed a new bombshell report by The New Yorker on Tuesday alleging that Weinstein, who is already facing a spate of sexual-harassment claims, raped three women. He denies the charges.
